AI Lift-Off for Perth High Schools

AI Lift-Off is WADSIH’s hands-on AI education program for Perth high schools, delivered through 1-hour classroom incursions for Years 7–10. Built from our Gen AI Bootcamp content, the program helps students explore AI through practical activities including image classifier training, AI assistant design, coding tasks and Reachy the Robot demonstrations. The pilot is currently taking bookings from Perth high schools, with sessions tailored to year level, cohort and school priorities.

AI and Data Science for Health and Medicine Outcomes

Health Industry representatives, government agencies and  tomorrow’s coders, programmers and hobbyists came together to see how data science and AI could solve some of the biggest healthcare industry challenges in the WA Health Hackathon 2025. Click here to read more.

AI, Assistive Technology & Tranformation

Internationally known AI researcher Dr Stephanie Stoll came to Perth to talk about her work in AI in computer vision, graphics and natural language processing. She was joined by local speakers to talk about tools like Convolutional Neural Networks and Neural Machine Translation and their role in the lives of people with disabilities.

An AI Tutor for Every Child

Director, Alex Jenkins, asks us to imagine a world where there is a tutor for every child, regardless of their wealth, location or their background. With technology such as ChatGPT Alex talks about the possibility of every child in the classroom having a tutor and the positive impact this can have on education.
