Meet Mio, WADSIH’s new Administration Lead
We’re pleased to welcome Mio Angela Gadon to the WADSIH team as our new Administration Lead. Mio is a Perth-based multidisciplinary artist, designer and arts worker originally from the Philippines.
One of our most exciting partnerships at WADSIH is with entrepreneur and startup network organisation Bloom.
We eagerly jumped on board LaunchLAB AI in May 2025, Bloom’s initiative to fast track ideas from budding tech entrepreneurs to commercial reality, providing guidance and expertise about using AI to give nascent businesses an edge.
Director Alex Jenkins was invited to be one of LaunchLAB AI’s Industry Experts, providing hands-on AI mentoring, taking part in cutting-edge workshops and advising on the real-world applications of AI to create scalable businesses during the 10-week program.
And now, all the work is coming to fruition, with LaunchLAB AI’s finale event set for Friday October 10.

Our AI Program Coordinator, Beth Cusack has been recognised for her work delivering inclusive Gen-AI Bootcamps that help autistic young people build practical technology skills, confidence and a sense of belonging. The program recently expanded to Geraldton, where students explored generative AI, robotics, coding and virtual reality through hands-on projects.
