WADSIH & Pawsey State Government Connect Initiative
We’re proud to announce our collaboration with Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre to host a special State Government Connect Initiative focused on artificial intelligence and high-performance computing in the WA public sector 🚀
The event will bring together public sector professionals to explore how these technologies are being used across government, the opportunities they present, and the practical challenges that need to be addressed to support greater adoption.
Attendees will hear from:
• Alex Jenkins, Director of WADSIH, who will provide a welcome and AI update for the public sector
• Shiv Meka from the Department of Health (WA Health), who will share insights on the use of AI and high-performance computing within WA Health
• Luke Edwards from Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre, who will discuss Pawsey’s work with State Government and the opportunities available to support innovation, research and data-driven outcomes across WA
The morning will also include an interactive workshop, giving attendees the opportunity to discuss key priorities and barriers around adoption, including training, blockers to uptake, engagement and awareness. It will conclude with morning tea, a light lunch and networking.
