State of AI in Schools WA Forum

The Fogarty Foundation, in partnership with the Beyond Boundaries Institute (BBI), is hosting the State of AI in WA Schools Forum — a two-day event bringing together over 200 teachers, school leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the role of AI in education. The WA Data Science Innovation Hub (WADSIH) is proud to collaborate on this event:

🎤 Day 1: WADSIH Director Alex Jenkins will lead the panel Navigating the Shift: Sector leaders on AI in schools.💡

🎤Day 2: WADSIH will deliver a hands-on professional development workshop for educators and school leaders already using tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, focusing on:

• • • Enhancing student engagement
    • Personalising learning (including for neurodiverse and complex needs)
    • Exploring AI-supported assessment
    • Co-creating AI-driven classroom resources

Educators will leave with practical, classroom-ready strategies to enrich learning outcomes and reduce workload through the responsible use of AI.
