WA Health Hackathon 2024 a huge success
The Health Hackathon 2024 was a resounding success with teams coming up with innovative ideas that have the potential to change the WA healthcare space.

The recent Western Australia Police Force x WADSIH Hackathon 2024 was a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing critical public safety challenges.
The event showcased how a diverse group of forward-thinking students and tech-savvy innovators can come together to create impactful solutions that benefit the Western Australian community.
Hosted by WA Data Science Innovation Hub, and backed by the Western Australia Police Force, with support from Arkahna, the event provided a platform for participants to address six challenges local police are currently grappling with.
1. Optimise the Western Australian Police Force’s emergency response.
2. Predict the location of a vehicle of interest.
3. Build a virtual assistant for frontline officers.
4. Extract key information about police investigations from operational sources.
5. Ensure that critical information is understood during a 000 call.
The Hackathon saw remarkable contributions from various teams, with solutions that demonstrated creativity and technical prowess.
