We’re taking our Regional Upskilling Programme to the Midwest in October 2021! We’re excited to visit Geraldton and support the growth and innovation of local businesses through the application of data science.
We’ll be in Geraldton from Monday 11th to Wednesday 13th October 2021 providing data science upskilling training and one-on-one advisory services to Geraldton-based startups and SMEs.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Midwest Development Commission who are also helping us orchestrate an industry roundtable so that we can better understand the needs, wants and current capabilities of the Geraldton business community.
UPSKILLING: DATA SCIENCE BASICS
We are offering a free half-day data science training course for Geraldton start-ups and SMEs. This session will give participants an insight into the business opportunities that can be derived from data-driven projects and will cover:
- Data science basics;
- Case studies & trends: How businesses are using data to drive business value; and
- Running your own data science project
The course will run on Tues 12th October 8am – 12pm at the Geraldton Universities Centre, 33 Onslow St, Geraldton.

ONE-ON-ONE ADVISORY SERVICES
WADSIH will be offering free, one-on-one advisory services to Geraldton-based small to medium businesses and startups interested in running their own data-driven projects. We can provide advice on:
- Building data science capabilities within your organisation;
- Initiating your own data-driven project;
- Connecting with industry and academia; and
- Finding suitable resources, including students for internship opportunities or project placements.
We’ll be holding advisory sessions on Mon 11th October, 8am – 12pm at Pollinators Geraldton, 184 Marine Terrace, Geraldton.
