WADSIH is going Regional!

We are partnering with the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) and the WA School of Mines (WASM) to deliver our first Regional Upskilling Programme in Kalgoorlie on May 18th 2021.

Our aim at WADSIH is to support WA businesses to use data science to innovate and grow. While we are in Kalgoorlie, we will be running a free full day Data Science Basics training course, hosting an industry event looking at automation in the mining sector, and giving businesses the opportunity to meet with our team to discuss their data science project.

Upskilling – Data Science Basics for Start-Ups and SMEs

We are offering a free full day training course for start-ups and small businesses on Data Science Basics, including how they can use data science tools and techniques to achieve better business outcomes. The course will run on Tues 18th May at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI). Click Here for further information.

Businesses can register for the training via this EOI form.

Event – Automation and Data Science in the mining sector in the Goldfields

We are also hosting an industry event at the Hannan’s Club on Tues 18th May 4-6pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear industry experts discuss some of the opportunities and challenges related to automation in the mining sector in the Goldfields.  This will be followed by drinks and networking. The event is open to the public and we welcome anyone interested in the topic to attend. You can register here.

If you are based in Kalgoorlie and would to learn more about the above, or want to request a meeting with our team while we are in town to discuss your data science project, please email wadsih@curtin.edu.au.

Our team is hoping to visit other regional towns in WA during 2021 to deliver upskilling and support local businesses.
