WADSIH furthered our effort to not just encourage women to enter STEM careers but make the STEM field more receptive to them by taking part in 100Women’s August 1 event, the 100Women Solvathon.
With over 60 people from a variety of backgrounds in attendance, the 100Women Solvathon was designed to bring a variety of experiences, questions and ideas about how to further gender equality in technology from all walks of life and all industries, and we were thrilled to be their Sapphire Partner.
Built and facilitated by two inspiring charities, Dress for Success Western Australia and The Radiance Network South West, the 100Women Solvathon also got a technological shot in the arm from software developer Component6, who’ll be taking the content and conversations from the event and using AI to turn them into distributable materials to inform, inspire and educate about smoothing the way for more girls and women to enter STEM careers.
The energy in the room was full of camaraderie, excitement and motivation for change, and everyone came away with plenty to do – ideating, refining and pitching solutions to bring the ideas to life and put them to work.
